I recently decided to try eventing with Sterling. I practiced jumping with him for only 1 day before I went to an eventing clinic at Copper Meadows (my last jump lessons were over 20 yrs ago!). Sterling was terrific! I was talked into doing the 1 day show the day after the clinic, despite not ever having done a dressage test in my life. I quickly learned the test the night before and the first time doing it was when I rode into the arena for the actual test! He did well and I was just happy that I remembered the test! He had clean rounds in both stadium jumping and the cross country. We did a second clinic and show where we placed 4th!
